Since becoming a lawyer, the Law Office of Tina Laine has practiced only Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income cases for residents of Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino.
Through her membership in the Orange County Bar Association’s Social Security Section – as both a member and an officer, including Chairman, she has been a strong advocate in helping people navigate the Social Security Disability Insurance process.
Tina Laine graduated from Huntington Beach High School in Huntington Beach, CA before going on to California State University Long Beach and graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts. She was a member of the Honor Roll at both Cal State University Long Beach and University of California Berkeley.
She graduated from the Western State University with a Juris Doctorate and was a President’s Scholar while attending Western State University. She won a 1983 Pro Bono Award for Victims of Domestic Violence and a 1984 Pro Bono Award for work with victims of Laguna Beach Brush Fire before joining the California State Bar in 1986.
For nearly 10 years, Tina Laine was a Board Member for Interval House, a shelter for victims of domestic violence. She also served as a Board Member of AAUW. This involvement was fostered through her involvement as a legal advocate and counselor for A Safe Place, a Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence in Berkeley, CA.
In 1998, she served as a member of the Welfare Reform – Victims of Violence Task Force as part of the Department of Public Social Services reform programs.
